So how is it when you finally feel like your life is on the "ups", but there is something that is holding you back?
well apparently one of my not-so-good friends is what's holding me back. i'm not regretting what I did, but I am bummed about the fact that this friend won't forgive or accept what has happened. A quote I found in one of my friends' space bulletins:
"i will disappoint you at some point. we all have faults. but we can love each other regardless of those faults, because that is one of the fundamental aspects of friendship."
I love her for posting this. I want to tell this to my friend. I have tried to seek this person's forgiveness over and over. I have since decided to not contact this person anymore, as there were NO signs of ever wanting to be friends again.
I guess it's for the best. How this person has handled this shows his/her true character, right? This person hasn't proven to be a good friend, at least to me, throughout this whole ordeal. Why would I want to waste my time trying to get this person to like me again?
I guess the answer is because I really did enjoy my friendship with this person. And now, after a couple months, it is over. That is the bummer.
Well, this was not meant to be depressing. . .just trying to get my feelings out. Hoping maybe this person will read this and see that love and forgiveness is not only what my friend wanted when she posted her bulletin, but it's what God wants us to do in regards to our relationships.
For someone who claims to love God, does that have any weight?
I miss you, friend. I really do.
